The ACS 2017-2108 theme verse for spiritual development in James 1:22 can be summarized in three words — “Actions Speak Louder.”  Faculty members Gregg Laskow and Lee Martin talked about the significance and practical application of the verse as the featured speakers at the first chapels of the year last Friday. Students, as well as faculty and staff, were challenged to focus on putting God’s Word into action. “Our actions rather than our words are the best indicators that we are followers of Christ,” Mr. Laskow said.

The words of the theme verse can be found all around campus — on posters and bulletin boards in the school hallways and even on the backs of this year’s ACS staff T-shirts. A large bulletin board in a second floor school hallway has been designated as a place where students and teachers can post message cards recognizing the exemplary actions of fellow students or teachers. To start off, teachers will be posting messages on the board during the month of September. In October, students will join the effort. New messages will be posted each month.
