ACS parents, families, and friends are invited to the 5th ACS Bowls of Hope Soup-Tasting Benefit on Saturday, February 3, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the school gym. At least a dozen restaurants are expected to serve up their signature soups, including Sal’s Cafe in Somers Point, which received the “Golden Spoon Award” last year for its New England Clam Chowder.  Come out for an enjoyable evening of good food and fellowship, all to benefit Atlantic Christian, the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey — Southern Branch.

Some of the participating restaurants will include: Barrels, Cafe 80 West, Carluccio’s, El Coyote, Gregory’s, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Sadia’s Tea and Coffee, Steve & Cookies, and Towne and Country Cafe.  Several area businesses are also on board as Sponsors — B.F. Mazzeo Fruits & Produce, Clayton’s Self Storage, the Philadelphia Mills, and Sturdy Savings Bank. Formica Brothers Bakery will again be donating tasty bread. Everyone attending the Bowls of Hope is also being asked to bring in a can of soup or other non-perishable to donate to the Community FoodBank. It’s all about giving back to our community.

Delicious home-made desserts and live music will also be provided. NEW this year — we will be holding a Silent Auction during the Bowls of Hope — featuring beautiful gift baskets donated by our PreK4-8th grade classes. The prices of the Bowls of Hope tickets, which are considered a charitable, tax-deductible gift, are: Adults-$20; Students-$10; Children (6-10)-$5; Under 5-Free. Tickets can be purchased in the ACS school office, from any ACS high school student, at the door that night, or online. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets online.
