Close to 40 pastors and ministry leaders from nearly 30 area churches were the honored guests at Pastor Appreciation Day on Wednesday, February 14. The special day began with a complimentary breakfast for the pastors followed by an all-school chapel program that featured students from preschool to the 12th grade. The students led worship songs, read Bible passages, and gave each honored guest a Valentine’s Day Gram and carnation. Mrs. Fosbenner’s 3rd grade class gave a powerful presentation on the various names of Jesus used throughout the Bible, illustrated with large, colorful banners. 11th grader Caroline Winkel shared about how serving God on ACS missions trips to the Dominican Republic has helped her grow in her faith. During breakfast, which included egg casseroles made by the middle and high school cooking classes, Pastor Chris Einwechter of Coastal Christian spoke about the power of prayer and the importance of relying on God through the big and small challenges in life. After chapel, the students had fun taking pictures and talking with their pastors.  CLICK HERE to see additional photos from Pastor Appreciation Day that are posted on the ACS website.
