Enrollment

  • Since opening in its permanent campus in 2004, the school enrollment has grown to average about 400 students each year
  • The average class size is 15 students in grades K-8 and 20 students in grades 9-12

Diversity

  • Two-thirds of the student body is Caucasian, 12% are African-American, 11% are Asian, 3 percent are Hispanic, and 3 percent are bi-racial
  • Since the 2000-2001 school year, ACS has welcomed international students into the ACS family, viewing this as a clear opportunity to carry out the “Great Commission.” International students are part of the ACS student body and have come from a variety of countries including: Armenia, Bulgaria, China, the Dominican Republic, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, The Netherlands, Norway, Romania, South Korea, and Taiwan.
  • Over 90 churches are represented in the student body
  • The college preparatory curriculum supports academic diversity, offering Honors and AP courses, English Language Learners courses, and the Barnabas Center Resource Room

Faculty Qualifications

  • All administrators, faculty, and staff are born-again Christians who attest that God has called them into the ministry at ACS and are committed to serving as exemplary Christian role models
  • Our highly qualified full-time faculty teaching core curriculum subjects hold Bachelors degrees and average seven years of teaching experience
  • One-third of the faculty hold Masters’ degrees
  • All faculty are required to hold a New Jersey state certification and/or ACSI Christian school teacher certification

Alumni

  • Since 1971, ACS has held six 6th grade graduations, sixteen 8th grade graduations, and 23 commencements
  • Over 500 alumni and several thousand former students are serving God in various ways, some as pastors and pastor’s spouses, missionaries, youth group leaders, prison counselors, college basketball coaches, musicians, military officers, nurses and other health professionals, and Christian and public school teachers and administrators
