⚾ Join Us for ACS Missions Team Baseball Night!

ACS families and friends are invited to enjoy a fun night of baseball together as the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Washington Nationals on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Citizens Bank Park. Game time is 6:40 PM.

This special Baseball Night is a great opportunity for our school community to gather, enjoy time together, and support the ACS Missions Team. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the team and help support their mission work.

Tickets are now available through SeatGeek, where families can choose their own seats. A limited number of tickets are available, and ACS has blocked seats together in designated rows so our group can sit close to one another. Families are encouraged to purchase early.

Purchase tickets here: https://bit.ly/2026baseballnight

Thank you for supporting the ACS Missions Team. Your participation helps make a difference and encourages our students as they prepare to serve others.

Questions? Please email Mr. Dave Genter at dgenter@acseht.org.

Today we recognize Ava Barberio who has been a student at ACS since 5th grade. Ava has been an important anchor of the Upper School Worship team and the Varsity Cheerleaders during her middle school and high school career. As a captain of the Cheer Team, they won multiple Championships including Nationals in Florida this Spring. Ava plans on attending Atlantic Cape Community College to study nursing in the fall.

Ava loved her teachers at ACS. She wanted to share specifically about two teachers: Ms. Redding (Worship Class), Mr. Carney (Upper School Math). "Very hard to pick, all my teachers have had such an impact on me. My top two are Ms. Redding and Mr. Carney: having them as my teachers have been such a blessing. Ms. Redding is the most loving and sweetest person ever. Her love for the Lord is truly so evident in her teaching and the way she cares about the hearts of her students. Mr. Carney is super smart, very understanding and being in his class is so much fun. Some of my best in class memories have been in his. [Mr.} Carney's character and demeanor represent Christ so much and I know that has an impact on every student he has taught and is still teaching."

Ava's favorite verse is Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Ava said, "This verse is such a good reminder to replace worry with prayer, leading to a consistent peace that can only come from God."

She also added wise counsel to the underclassmen, "You might have a fall out with one of your closest friends in High School. It is REALLY IMPORTANT you restore it.

Ava, we pray that your love for the Lord will continue to grow more and more. We pray that as you pursue nursing that you will be able to use every opportunity to be a shining light in a dark world and share the love of Christ with others. We look forward to seeing how the Lord will use you in the future.

ACS Freshman and Miss Island Resort Teen Greta Kleinman recently shared her children’s book, "Saving Lives One Beat at a Time," with ACS students in grades 2-5 during a special CPR awareness presentation.

In her book, Greta helps children learn about CPR and AED awareness through an age-appropriate true story about her dad, who passed away from cardiac arrest. Through the story, students learn how to recognize an emergency, call for help, and understand the basics of hands-only CPR.

During the presentation, Greta introduced Paramedic Jessi from AtlantiCare, who demonstrated how to perform CPR and explained what an AED is and how it can help save lives. Students then had the opportunity to practice CPR on mannequins that Paramedic Jessi brought for the hands-on demonstration.

We are thankful for Greta’s heart to educate and serve others, and for Paramedic Jessi’s time in helping our students learn these important life-saving skills.

Thank you Greta and AtlantiCare Paramedic Jessi!

Our Upper School Choir, led by Mrs. Elizabeth Henigan, had the blessing of visiting Brandywine Assisted Living in Linwood and The Shores in Ocean City last Wednesday.

The students shared their gift of music with the residents, and it was such a sweet time of fellowship. After performing, our students spent time visiting with everyone, listening to their stories, and sharing meaningful conversations.

We are thankful for opportunities like this to serve, encourage, and share Christ’s love in our community.

Today’s Senior Chapel was a meaningful time for our Upper School students as we celebrated and encouraged the Class of 2026.

We were blessed to hear from alumni guest speaker Reyna Lewis, Salutatorian from the Class of 2023, along with ACS Teacher Mr. Dave Genter. Reyna also took time to pray over our seniors as they prepare for graduation and the next chapter God has for them.

Students enjoyed a fun baby photo guessing game and had the opportunity to hear from our seniors as they shared advice for younger students and spoke about their plans after high school graduation.

During the chapel, Upper School Yearbook Advisor Tori Flath presented Upper School Education Support Specialist Amy Parker, as the seniors dedicated this year’s yearbook to her in appreciation for the impact she has made on their lives.

Please continue to pray for our seniors as they finish the school year and step into the future with faith and purpose.

Bouncing into their prize! 🎉 Mrs. Steuber’s class had an amazing time at Get Air as the Overall Class Winner of this year’s Race for Education!

After working hard, encouraging sponsors, and helping make this year’s fundraiser a success, these students earned an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of jumping.

Thank you to all of the families, friends, and supporters who sponsored our Race for Education!
