Today we celebrate senior Malachi Vasquez who has been at ACS for 2 years. Malachi is a multi-sport athlete excelling in soccer, basketball and track. Malachi plans on attending Word of Life Institute in the fall.

Atlantic Christian School celebrated Autism Awareness Day on Tuesday, April 23. The day began with a student assembly in the Multi-Purpose Room, where Kindergarten teacher Reginale Hathaway gave a presentation on Autism Awareness to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Fifth grader Hadley Basso, who played a key role in planning this day, spoke about autism and her desire to make a difference because she understands the challenges autistic people face daily, as her brother is autistic. She emphasized the importance of embracing individuals with autism in our communities, stating, "Learning to embrace those with autism is to acknowledge their differences, creativity, and beauty. We want to raise their self-esteem as children of God. God calls us to treat His children with open arms, avoiding harsh words and putting them down. Instead, we aim to uplift them and show them they are valued as children of God, just like everyone else." Hadley concluded her speech by reading Psalm 139:14, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

Atlantic Christian School is in its 53rd year of providing a quality, co-educational program for the youth in South Jersey. As a private school, Atlantic Christian is independent and non-denominational, with some 700 students from two years old to the 12th grade who attend over 110 churches throughout southern New Jersey. At Atlantic Christian, our goal is to develop students who have hearts that love God, love people, and want to transform the world. This is the essence of a quality, Christian education.

Today we celebrate senior Malachi Vasquez who has been at ACS for 2 years. Malachi is a multi-sport athlete excelling in soccer, basketball and track. Malachi plans on attending Word of Life Institute in the fall.

Fifth grader Hadley Basso, who played a key role in planning this day, spoke about autism and her desire to make a difference because she understands the challenges autistic people face daily, as her brother is autistic. She emphasized the importance of embracing individuals with autism in our communities, stating, "Learning to embrace those with autism is to acknowledge their differences, creativity, and beauty. We want to raise their self-esteem as children of God. God calls us to treat His children with open arms, avoiding harsh words and putting them down.
