With the 2023-2024 school year now underway, we thank God for several improvements to our school completed over the summer, many made possible by charitable gifts and discounted pricing from contractors. Some of the improvements include:
New Soccer Turf Field: The previous turf was worn and needed replacement to ensure a safe environment for students and players. Board Member Jim Gibbs led this project, working closely with Shaw Sports Turf, the company that installed the new turf. Funding came from our development fund, generously supported by donors and fundraising events over several years. Board Member Chris Loeb expressed pride in the project, stating, “We are very proud that we were able to accomplish this. We appreciate the positive feedback from our families.”
New Flooring in Lobby and Main Offices: The installation of new flooring in the lobby and main offices followed a flooding incident in December when pipes broke during extreme winter temperatures.
New Security Camera Surveillance System Installed: Over the summer, ACS installed a new 64-camera IP-based network and surveillance system, including security cameras inside the Early Education buildings, the 1st-12th grade educational building, and outdoors in the parking lots and athletic fields. This state-of-the-art surveillance system was funded by a nearly $140,000 Nonprofit Security Grant that ACS received from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Department of Homeland Security.
New Lighting, Sound, Equipment: New stage lighting and sound equipment were installed in the ACS gym over the summer, greatly enhancing our music and drama productions this year. This upgrade was made possible by a generous gift of nearly $17,000 from an anonymous donor.
EE Front Entrance Landscaping, Playground Upgrade, and Fencing: The Early Education front entrance received a new landscaping design courtesy of Redeemed Lawns & Services. The EE playground was upgraded with a newly installed sprinkler system and sod, courtesy of Mr. Ralph Clayton. Fencing was also installed to secure the area, and play equipment was donated by Kyle and Karissa Costello.
New Concrete Area in the Bus Loop: ACS completed an upgrade to the student transportation hub at the rear entrance of the school building. If you are interested in contributing to underwrite the cost of adding concrete areas to improve safety and facilitate student drop-off and pick-up at our school’s rear entrance, click here.
New Security Doors: ACS has been blessed with new exterior security doors, made possible by state nonpublic school security aid administered through the Egg Harbor Township School District.
New School Website: We are excited to announce that the ACS website has undergone a redesign, thanks to PJ Santos. Our goal is to provide an improved user experience for our online visitors. You can explore the new website by visiting http://www.acseht.org
We will continue to make improvements throughout the year in our school building and with our outdoor facilities as God provides additional funds.
