To conclude their celebration of Black History Month, Mrs. Laura McCarthy’s class participated in a creative and educational activity. Students wore lanyards with photos of famous African Americans and introduced themselves as those individuals, sharing interesting facts and achievements about them.
This engaging activity not only gave students the chance to learn about people who made significant contributions in Black history but also helped develop the students’ public speaking skills and foster a deeper appreciation for the impact these people had on society. It was a meaningful and fun way to honor the history and legacy of African Americans.
