Atlantic Christian School’s High School Missions Club had an exciting start to their fundraising season, raising $10,000 during the Pumpkin Run Car Show and Flea Market at Fleming’s Junkyard on Saturday, November 1. Students, parents, and volunteers worked together to provide parking on the ACS campus for attendees, with all proceeds going toward the club’s upcoming missions trip to Belize during Easter Break.
Under the guidance of Missions Club Advisor and faculty member Mr. Dave Genter, students are preparing for this life-changing trip where they will serve the community in Belize through home repairs for the elderly, evangelism, youth outreach, and a Vacation Bible School at a local church.
In addition to the Pumpkin Run fundraiser, the Missions Club is planning several other efforts to help meet their financial goals. These include selling food at One Christmas Night, hosting a missions banquet, organizing family skate nights, and selling Phillies tickets in the spring. Each student is also reaching out to family, friends, and local churches for prayer and financial support toward the $2,830 per-person trip cost.
