We are so excited to celebrate Read Across America Week here at Atlantic Christian School! This beloved national event is observed each year around March 2nd — beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss’s birthday — and is dedicated to inspiring a lifelong love of reading in children across the country.
Our K–5 students will be joining in the fun March 2–4, 2026 with three days of special activities. Here’s what to look forward to:
Monday, March 2 — Crazy Sock Monday
Thing 1 and Thing 2 will be leading Move It Monday! Students should wear their craziest socks along with their class shirt and PE bottoms to kick off the week in style.
Tuesday, March 3 — D.E.A.R. Tuesday
Drop Everything and Read! Ask your child to bring their favorite book and a small stuffed animal to bring to school for a cozy reading time they won’t forget.
Wednesday, March 4 — Wacky Wednesday
Time to get wacky! Students are encouraged to wear a wacky outfit. Go ahead and think inside out with backwards clothes, mismatched patterns, a wild hairdo, or anything fun and creative.
We hope your family gets into the spirit of the week by reading together at home too!
