Atlantic Christian School’s middle school students recently participated in the AtlantiCare Healthy Schools Winter PSA Video Contest in coordination with Science Teacher Mrs. Shull. The contest encourages students to communicate important health and wellness messages through creative public service announcement videos.
Congratulations to 8th grade students Anthem Correa, Hazel Donahue, Peter Shockey, and Khristian Thorton, whose video titled “Vape Nah” was selected as the winner in the 5th–8th grade division.
On March 3, Kelly Connors, a representative from AtlantiCare Healthy Schools, visited Atlantic Christian School to present the students with their prizes. The school received a portable Bluetooth stereo speaker with a microphone, and students Anthem Correa and Peter Shockey were each awarded a mini Bluetooth microphone and certificate for their involvement in the winning video.
The contest promotes communication about health and wellness topics while encouraging students to challenge one another through friendly competition. AtlantiCare shared that it is a pleasure to partner with schools like Atlantic Christian to help build healthier communities where children can thrive.
Congratulations to these students and to Mrs. Shull for their excellent work and for representing Atlantic Christian School so well.
