In celebration of the once-in-a-lifetime calendar date of 2-22-22, ACS students and staff had a fun dress-down day and went out into the hallways at 2:22 p.m. for a healthy brain break to dance the Cupid shuffle for two minutes and 22 seconds. The girls dressed up wearing colorful tutus over pants or tights, and the boys wore T-shirts and ties.
Students also got a special snack at lunch of two paired treats — chips and dip. The whole idea came about after the second grade students wrote persuasive letters to Elementary Principal Gail Alford in early February asking for a special celebration on 2-22-22.
