This school year’s spiritual theme is from Matthew 5:14-16 – “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

As we embark on this new school year, let’s take a moment to reflect on how we can live out this message in our daily lives.

Just as a town built on a hill cannot be hidden and a lamp is placed on a stand to give light to all, we too are called to let our light shine before others. As we prepare to return to our classrooms and hallways, let’s consider: How can we be a beacon of kindness, compassion, and goodness in our school community and beyond? By living out our faith through our actions and interactions, we have the opportunity to make a positive impact that glorifies our Father in heaven. This year, let’s embrace the call to be the light of the world and allow our light to shine brightly in all that we do.
