On February 21st, The ACS Missions Team to Belize hosted a Banquet which was attended by 100 people. The banquet had multiple aims. First of all, 100% of ticket proceeds went to the Missions team as the students and their families donated the food and service. The team also sold coffee, bracelets and custom 3D printed items which
Secondly, it was a chance for the attendees to “meet the team”. Mrs. Parker hosted a panel discussion so every member of the team was able to share about fundraising, reasons for wanting to serve and what they hope to learn from this experience.
Attendees were also treated to music from the 5th grade and Middle School Worship Teams. ACS parent and IT director Louis Andujar shared a short message about his Heart for Missions as he will be one of the leaders to Belize. He then gathered all of the team members, including adult chaperones, to dedicate their trip to the Lord and to pray for safety, funds and effectiveness while there.
Lastly, while the students earned funds for their Missions Trip, they also had the opportunity to serve the food and drinks to everyone attending as well as cleaning up after the event.
