ACS athletes from the Track Explorers Afterschool Club and the Middle School Track team traveled to Hawthorne Christian Academy to compete in the NNJCSA Field Day on Tuesday, April 29. There were 4 other Christian Schools there at this event for 3rd-8th grade.
ACS students performed very well there and finished 3rd in both divisions (Elementary and Middle School). 3rd grader Colton Costello and 4th grader Jayce Bird placed in 5 events, with Colton with three 1st places and Jayce with two 1st places. Our 4th and 6th grades finished third in the relays. Other ACS students who went home with ribbons included Johanna Wilson, Winston Woods, Annabelle Frye, Callie Gibson, Alba Reed, Hunter Cross, Raquel Crespo, Caleb Wilson and Natalie Dickson.
Although it was a long 2.5 hour drive, the Lord gave us a beautiful day and the students had a wonderful time. Thanks to Mrs. Kristina Meyer for organizing this event for her Track Explorers Club and the MS Track Team, and for all the parents who helped drive the students there.
