October is Fire Prevention Month! We were blessed to welcome Chief Engineer Don Stauffer, Captain Kyle Duffy, Safety Officer Bing Gary, and Firefighters Joe Libertore and Andy Taylor from the Scullville Volunteer Fire Company to Atlantic Christian School for a special visit.
They brought their impressive ladder truck and shared important fire safety lessons with our students.
Students from preschool through 5th grade learned about the gear and tools firefighters use, the importance of calling 911, checking smoke detectors, and practicing “Stop, Drop, and Roll.” They also had the exciting opportunity to explore the fire truck up close and see the hoses, ladders, and other equipment in action.
We are so thankful to our dedicated firefighters for teaching our students how to stay safe and for serving our community with such courage and care.
