The results are in for this year’s ACS Race for Education, and we are thankful to share that $60,883 was raised. Praise God! This total exceeded our goal by more than $10,000. We are grateful for the many donors whose generosity supported our school, as well as the students, teachers, staff, and volunteers who helped make this event a success.
During this month’s Elementary, High School, and Early Education chapels, Race Coordinator Deana Farrell shared this year’s Race highlights video and announced the student and class winners. Sophomore Grace Lushina was recognized as the top student fundraiser, raising more than $2,840. Mrs. Steuber’s fifth-grade class earned both the Elementary and overall Class recognition after raising $6,513.
Additional class winners included Mr. Genter’s tenth-grade class, which earned the High School Class recognition with $3,281; Mrs. Wigglesworth’s seventh-grade class, which received the Middle School Class recognition with $2,400.83; and Mrs. Arbogast’s PK2 class, which earned the Early Education Class recognition with $3,542.24.
Students were also recognized for individual achievements. The top fundraiser in each class, along with the boy and girl who completed the most laps per class, received medals for their efforts.
Grace Lushina has earned the Top Fundraiser honor for the past three years. This year, she graciously chose to pass along the gift to the next top fundraiser, fifth grader Nashla Zoe Sosa, who raised $2,257. Grace’s generosity compelled us to also award the next student in line, second grader Mason Cassell, who raised $2,137. An honorable mention was also awarded to Addison Rawlings, who raised $1,823 in donations.
Thank you to everyone who gave, participated, and supported the Race for Education. Your generosity helps us continue our mission to impact the world for Jesus Christ by nurturing and equipping students with a Biblical worldview through an accredited education program.
