ACS families should prepare for possible traffic delays due to milling and paving work scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 16, on Zion Road (Route 615) between Asbury Road and Old Stage Road.
Construction will take place from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Portions of Zion Road will be closed to through traffic during this time. However, one lane will remain open for local traffic and school buses.
The anticipated schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday, September 16: Zion Road will be closed between English Lane and English Creek Avenue, except for local traffic and buses.
- Thursday, September 17: Only eastbound traffic will be permitted between Asbury Road and Old Stage Road. Drivers at affected intersections will be directed east.
- Friday, September 18: Only westbound traffic will be permitted between Old Stage Road and Asbury Road. Drivers at affected intersections will be directed west.
- Thursday and Friday, September 24–25: Surface paving is tentatively scheduled, with similar traffic patterns expected.
Please allow extra travel time when bringing students to school or picking them up. Drivers should use caution, follow posted signs, and obey directions from construction crews.
