One Month to Go: Let’s Get Ready to Race for Education!

Our 24th Annual Race for Education is Friday, October 30—just one month away! All students, from Pre-K through high school, will hit the track for a day of fun and school spirit as we work together toward our $55,000 fundraising goal. Every donation supports Christ-centered education and our mission to impact, nurture, and equip students to reach the world for Christ.

Families, you can help us get a strong start! Share acsracefored.com with grandparents, relatives, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Send a text, share on social media, or invite your church or a local business to sponsor your student. A simple invitation can make a meaningful difference!

There are exciting prizes to work toward, too! The class that raises the most in total donations can earn a class outing to Get Air Trampoline Park or King Pin Bowling, and the top fundraising class in each school division can win an ice cream party. Individual student incentives include Cougar Paw and Sneaker posters, lap winner certificates, dress-down days for K–12 students, and special Early Ed medals.

New this year: A PS5 or a laptop computer worth up to $500 joins the student grand prize choices! The student who raises the most in sponsorship donations will choose from these new options or a Storybook Land or OC Waterpark season pass, an Apple Watch, or AirPods. Fall Family Fun Night! Christian Skate Night on October 24!

Lace up your skates and join us for Christian Skate Night on Saturday, October 24, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Young’s Skating Center! Enjoy time with family and friends while supporting our ACS Missions Team.

This family-friendly event is open to everyone, so invite your neighbors, friends, and church community to join the fun. Proceeds will benefit the ACS Missions Club and help our students prepare to serve others and share the love of Christ.

Admission is $15 per person in advance or $17 at the door, with a maximum admission cost of $60 per immediate family. Skate rentals are extra and will be available for purchase at the door.

Save the Date: November 9 – Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser for ACS Athletics

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM for our Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser supporting ACS Athletics! The event will be held at Cornhole Craze NJ in Somers Point, and we can’t wait for you to join us for some friendly competition, fun, and fellowship.

This is a great opportunity to bring friends and family out for a good time while supporting our Athletics Department. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the game, all are welcome to participate!

Fourth-Grader Sadie Wyzen-Gregory Leads Fundraiser for James’ Par for the Harbor

Fourth-grader Sadie Wyzen-Gregory initiated a class fundraiser for James’ Par for the Harbor, a family-founded organization dedicated to raising money for the Metabolism Department at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Their goal is to help families of children with rare metabolic disorders. The founders, James and Lauren Agzigian, visited ACS on May 31 and shared with Mrs. Jackson’s fourth-grade students that they started the organization because their son and Sadie’s cousin, James, has a metabolic disorder. They aim to provide financial assistance to families facing similar challenges.

Mrs. Jackson’s class raised $325.74 for James’ Par for the Harbor. As a thank-you gift, the organization gave each student a shirt. Spirit Day at Red Robin

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Red Robin in Mays Landing for Spirit Night!  ACS Athletics raised $ 436.00 from that event!  We are grateful for the support of our school community. Thanks for supporting ACS Athletics!

Save the Date: Race for Education – October 27

Our 21st annual Race for Education fall fundraiser will be held on Friday, October 27. Race fundraising packets will be sent home next week with PreK3-8th grade students. Let’s work together and reach out to our family members, friends, and local businesses to make this fundraiser our most successful ever.

Throughout Race Day on Friday, October 27, students in various grade-level groups will walk, run, or jog around our track for a 30-minute period, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. To add to the fun, the Middle School race will incorporate an obstacle course.

We are once again using a Race website where everyone can donate online. Parents, students, and teachers can participate by sending an email to people you know asking them to be a Race sponsor and giving them the link to our fundraising website — WWW.RACE4ED.COM/ACS

Sponsors can give any amount, but if they donate $50 or more, a special Race sneaker sign with the sponsor’s name and the name of the student they are sponsoring will be posted on a school hallway wall and in a classroom as a sign of support. Donors can also be a “Classroom Sponsor” (for a gift of $200) or an “Event Sponsor” (for a gift of $400). Individual yard signs with the names/logos of Classroom and Event sponsors will be placed around the edge of the track on Race Day to encourage all of our runners. In addition, the names/logos of our “Event Sponsors” will go on a banner hung at the school for the week prior to and on Race Day.

Today Is ACS Spirit Day at Buffalo Wild Wings

Today is the day! From 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Buffalo Wild Wings in Mays Landing (4311 Black Horse Pike) will donate 10% of your total bill — eat-in or take-out — to ACS Athletics!
