During Spring Break, our High School Missions Team traveled to Corozal, Belize for a week of service and ministry, led by Mr. Dave Genter. A group of 25 students and four chaperones had the opportunity to serve together and connect with the local community.

Each day, the team led a Vacation Bible School for nearly 100 children. Through songs, games, Bible lessons, and small groups, they built relationships and shared God’s love in a meaningful way.

The group also helped with construction projects for local churches and community buildings, delivered food, and visited homes to encourage families with the hope of the Gospel.

This trip was a special experience for everyone involved. It gave students the opportunity to serve others, grow in their faith, and see how God is working beyond their own community.

Please continue to pray for the people of Belize and for the lasting impact of this trip.

Today we congratulate Isaac Kelley who has attended ACS since 6th grade. While at ACS Isaac has been very active in athletics. This year, he was one of the Captains of the Varsity Soccer team as well as voted to the Jersey United All Star team. An avid fan/participant in our annual Volleyball tournament, this was the year that Isaac's Block Party team took home the crown!! In addition, Isaac was voted this year's Homecoming King by the student body.

Isaac's favorite verse is James 1:2-4 "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." Isaac says, "I love this verse because when I face hard times it is a reminder to count it all joy and keep that joyful mindset which makes the hard time miles easier."

Isaac would like to run his own business in the future and plans to pursue business or electrical after leaving ACS. Isaac, your Christian character has been a shining light to the students and teachers during your time at ACS. We pray that light will continue to shine bright, reflecting your joyful mindset, and leading others towards the Lord. We can't wait to see where He takes you!

Today we congratulate Angela Awad who has spent almost her whole academic career at ACS, nearly 13 years. While at ACS Angela has served in leadership positions in Student Council and National Honor Society. She also has served as a Student Ambassador and volunteered at the Atlantic County Library. Angela just got back (4am) from serving in Belize on the missions trip. You may also see her working at the Chick-Fil-A in front of Lowes.

Angela's favorite verse is John 3:30, "He must increase, but I must decrease."
"This verse reminds me to stay humble and give all Glory to God," Angela said.

Angela will be attending college in the fall to pursue occupational therapy. Angela we pray that you will continue to seek the Lord and give Him the glory as you continue your education and serve others in your career.
