A five-member team of educators representing the Association of Christian Schools International spent three days at Atlantic Christian School from March 22–25, assessing various aspects of the school’s operations.

Atlantic Christian School was seeking re-accreditation through ACSI, and this site visit marked the final phase of a year-long process. Throughout the year, the school prayerfully prepared a comprehensive self-study report for the team to review, reflecting on both strengths and areas for growth.

During their visit, the team met with members of the Board of Directors, faculty, staff, parents, and students. They also spent time in classrooms, observing teaching and learning and gaining a firsthand look at daily life at ACS.

The accreditation team included:

  • Dr. Dawn Adams – Timothy Christian Academy, NJ
  • Ms. Deborah Fucci – Hawthorne Christian Academy, NJ
  • Mrs. Carol Aversa – ACSI Director of Accreditation
  • Mrs. Kayla Collins – Manheim Christian Day School, PA
  • Mr. Gerry Cantalupo – Northwest Christian School, NJ

We are grateful to share that the ACSI team has recommended Atlantic Christian School for re-accreditation, with final approval to be granted by the commission this May. This recognition affirms the strength of our academic program and our commitment to providing a Christ-centered education. This milestone is not only a testament of our collective efforts, but also of the faithful leadership of Karen Oblen, our Chief School Administrator, who continues to guide us forward.

This process was a meaningful time of reflection and encouragement for our school community. We give thanks to the Lord for His faithfulness and for the many individuals who contribute to the mission of Atlantic Christian School each day.
