ACS has been blessed with the gift of a 54-passenger school bus that will enable the school to meet a variety of transportation needs. The ACS Varsity Boys’ and Girls’ basketball teams boarded the bus Friday morning for a two-day basketball tournament in Pennsylvania hosted by Delaware County Christian School. The purchase of the 2011 used bus was made possible through gifting this year that totaled $45,000. “We are thankful for the gifting that allowed us to purchase a second, newer bus to use to transport our students on field trips, after school activities, and athletic team practices and games,” said Chief School Administrator Karen Oblen. Oblen said ACS will continue to use its older, 1998-model school bus, which will provide flexibility in transporting different groups of students to after-school activities, especially during the basketball season.
