The elementary students celebrated the wondrous message of Christmas at their December 16 concert that featured performances by the 4th and 5th Grade Elementary Band, individual band members, and various classes singing, playing hand bells, and reciting scripture. Music teacher Stephanie Rosie directed the kindergarten through third grade classes and Band Director Shirlene Perini led the instrumental portion of the concert. Congratulations to the 5th grade band students who showcased their talents as soloists — Allison Amadio on clarinet performing “Deck the Halls;” Hannah Campbell on oboe performing “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing;” Alex and Alyssa Mazak on violin performing “What Child is This;” and Noelle Thompson on saxophone performing “Jingle Bell Rock.” Thank you also to the parents who donated delicious Christmas cookies for the reception after the concert and to the high school students who helped serve.
