What do monkeys, polar bears, and clown fish have in common? They all live in a God-designed habitat — a place that provides them with the food, water, and oxygen they need to live and grow. The students in Miss Williams’ 2nd grade class have been studying animals and their habitats for the past month as part of life science. For a class project, each student chose an animal and created a 3D shoe-box-size diorama depicting that animal in its habitat. The students also gave oral presentations that Miss Williams said led to lively discussion as the students compared and contrasted the coral reef, savannah, rain forest, polar region, and other habitats and ways to protect them. The dioramas have been on display in the hallway outside their classroom.
