It was Wacky Wednesday on March 7 at ACS — part of a week-long Read Across America campaign to celebrate the joy of reading. Elementary students, faculty, and staff dressed up in colorful, mismatched clothes, wigs, socks, and shoes, and some even walked around with stuffed animals on their heads. Several teachers came disguised as students, wearing ACS school uniforms. Dr. Seuss’ “Wacky Wednesday,” “The Lorax,” “Fox in Socks,” and “Green Eggs and Ham” were some of the favorite books our students explored. The students also had fun doing creative, wacky classwork. In Miss Price’s kindergarten class, the students decorated brand new pairs of white socks to wear and made Lorax mustaches.
