Mrs. Ash’s 5th grade class recently filled several boxes with candy, chips, cookies, microwaveable meals, and encouraging letters and drawings that were sent to Colonel Diana Brown and other Air Force personnel currently serving in Afghanistan. Each ACS elementary class does at least one service project during the school year and this was the second shipment of care packages sent by Mrs. Ash’s class since September. Colonel Brown is a family friend of 5th grader Taylor Sutton and has been helping the students learn about Afghanistan by sending photos and letters back from the appreciative service members stationed there.
