The Varsity Boys’ Baseball team is heading to the TSCAC Championship Game on Saturday, June 2, after defeating Cumberland Christian School 11-1 in the semi-final playoff game on Tuesday, May 29. ACS was undefeated in the regular season, and finished in first place with a 10-0 record. The Cougars will play Gloucester County Christian School for the championship at 4 p.m. at Pilgrim Academy’s campus in Egg Harbor City. Thank you to head coach Ray Picking and assistant coaches Kevin Iaconelli, Carl Phillips, and Charlie Rhodes for an outstanding season.
The Varsity Girls’ Softball team was also undefeated and in first place with a 8-0 record during the regular season, but lost 7-6 in extra innings to 4th-seeded Baptist Regional in their playoff game on Tuesday, May 29. The Lady Cougars, under head coach Dara Kimmerley and assistant coaches Lori Pearson and Terry Vogel, will play Cumberland Christian on June 2 in the consolation game at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Academy. We’re proud of the outstanding efforts of all of the players and coaches on both teams. Please come out on Saturday afternoon to Pilgrim Academy and cheer on our teams to victory.
