We are thrilled to recognize Senior Taylor Sutton, affectionately known as “TY,” for her incredible accomplishment of reaching 500 saves as the starting goalie for the Atlantic Christian Varsity Girls Soccer Team. Over her four years with the Cougars, TY has consistently showcased her talent, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the team.
On October 3rd, during a match against Calvary Academy, TY achieved this rare milestone, a testament to her skill and perseverance. To reach 500 saves, a goalie must average 125 saves per season—approximately 8 saves per game over a typical 15-game season. This remarkable feat highlights TY’s ability between the posts and her determination to excel. As of October 20, she has 75 saves and counting in her senior season!
TY has been a standout player, attending every game and practice with a dedication that inspires her teammates. Alongside her goalie coach, she has invested significant effort during the off-season to sharpen her skills and maximize her performance.
In addition to her accomplishments on the soccer field, TY is a talented three-sport athlete. We look forward to seeing her continue to succeed and achieve new milestones in the seasons ahead.
Congratulations, Taylor, on this significant achievement! We are blessed to have you as a part of the Cougars family, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.
