October is Fire Prevention Month, and Atlantic Christian School had the privilege of welcoming firefighters from the Scullville Volunteer Fire Company on Friday. Firefighters Kyle Duffy, Bill Warrell, and Don Stauffer visited ACS, bringing a ladder truck and teaching important fire safety lessons to students from preschool through 5th grade.

The firefighters emphasized the importance of knowing when to call 911 in an emergency, checking smoke detectors regularly, and remembering to “Stop, Drop, and Roll” if caught in a fire.

In addition to the valuable safety tips, students had an exciting opportunity to explore the firefighting equipment. They were excited and got an up-close look at the truck’s tools, hoses, and ladders.

We are very grateful for these local heroes for taking the time to educate and inspire our students, helping them stay informed and prepared. Their dedication to safety ensures our community is well-equipped for any emergency.
