The Race for Education is coming up on Friday, October 27, and there’s still plenty of time for students from PreK2 to 8th grade to reach out to their family and friends to sponsor the Race. Our target this year is $45,000, so we encourage you to continue emailing and contacting your loved ones and local businesses to ask them to become Race Sponsors.
Our Event Coordinator, Christian Delacruz, has been visiting classrooms throughout the school, awarding green-and-white Race for Ed Sponsor Sneakers to students who raised a $50 or more sponsorship. You can see these sneakers displayed on a bulletin board in the Multi-Purpose Room hallway. We have space for more sneakers, so let’s keep reaching out to potential sponsors. All the proceeds will benefit the ACS Annual Fund, supporting our educational programs this school year.
There are also exciting student and class prizes for those who raise the most money in sponsor donations, such as a fun class outing to the Atlantic City Aquarium, Get Air Trampoline Park, and Storybook Land, an individual season pass to Ocean City Water Park or Storybook Land, pizza and ice cream parties, Five Below Gift Cards, and Dress Down Day passes.
Contributing to the Race for Education is simple—just visit our Race website at www.race4ed.com/acs/.
Sponsors can provide any amount, and if they donate $50 or more, the student they sponsor will receive a special Race sneaker sign featuring the sponsor’s name and the student’s name. Donors can also choose to be a “Classroom Sponsor” for a gift of $200 or an “Event Sponsor” for a gift of $400. Individual yard signs displaying the names and logos of Classroom and Event sponsors will be placed around the track on Race Day to motivate all our runners. Additionally, the names and logos of our “Event Sponsors” will be featured on a banner displayed at the school in the week leading up to Race Day.
