Atlantic Christian School is thankful to AtlantiCare for a special visit that brought learning and healthy fun to our third-grade students.

During the visit, students enjoyed a hands-on cooking demonstration led by Shara Gadomsky from Happy Heart Corner. Chef Shara prepared a healthy Mandarin Crunch Salad, introducing each ingredient and explaining how it supports healthy eating. Students were excited to taste the salad, and many even came back for seconds.

Kelly Connors from the AtlantiCare Healthy Schools, Healthy Children program taught students how we use all five senses when eating, reviewed the food groups, and shared helpful tools such as measuring spoons and recipe cards for students to take home.

During the visit, Kelly and Chef Shara also presented Mrs. Amy Parker with her prize for winning the Meal Prep Series raffle. Congratulations to Mrs. Parker.

This meaningful experience was made possible through the AtlantiCare Healthy Schools, Healthy Children program, which Atlantic Christian School is grateful to be a part of. We appreciate AtlantiCare’s continued support of our students and school community.
