At Atlantic Christian School, we are deeply grateful for the pastors and ministry leaders who faithfully shepherd our families and strengthen the foundation of our school community. Each year, Pastor Appreciation Day gives us the opportunity to honor these dedicated servants and express our gratitude for the vital role they play in the lives of our students and families.
On February 19, 2026, ACS welcomed over 60 pastors and ministry leaders from churches throughout South Jersey for our annual Pastor Appreciation Day. The morning began with a fellowship breakfast, during which Pastor Steve Rahter of Praise Tabernacle delivered an encouraging and uplifting message to our honored guests.
Guests were then welcomed into a student-led chapel service, where different students and groups led worship and prayer. Annabelle Frye, a 4th grade student, opened in prayer then an instrumental trio of upper school students played an instrumental song followed by worship from the 5th grade and high school worship teams. The second grade music class shared “You Are Good To Me” followed by a performance by the Middle School Choir.
Sam Glancey, an alumnus from the ACS Class of 2023, shared the importance of honoring pastors and being involved at church – meaningful coming from a young man whose own faith was formed at ACS. The service was closed in prayer by 11th grade student, Joshua Weeks.
One of the most special moments of the morning was when students take photos with their pastors — an important reminder of the relationships that lie at the heart of Christian education. These are not merely familiar faces to our students; they are shepherds, mentors, and spiritual leaders who walk alongside our families in faith.
To every pastor and ministry leader who joined us February 19th — thank you. Thank you for your faithfulness, your prayers, and the steady and loving example you set before our students every day. We are profoundly grateful for the partnership we share with our local churches, and we consider it one of our greatest blessings. Together, we are raising up the next generation to impact the world for Jesus Christ.
