ms-girls-soccer-3-img_4922-2Congratulations to the Middle School Boys’ and Girls’ soccer teams and the High School Varsity girls’ soccer team for posting wins in all their games this week.

The MS Girls defeated Cumberland Christian School 7-4 on their field Monday afternoon and the MS Boys won 7-0. In the girls’ game, Serena D’Anna scored 3 goals, and Olivia Chapman, Cami DeNick, Eva Elgersma, and Anielis Hernandez each scored 1. In the boys’ game, Aaron Glancey scored 3 goals and Cyril Benjamin, Jake DeNick, Tommy Ellison, and Jack Loeb each scored 1. JP Harris played strong in the goal and had three crucial saves.

On Tuesday, the MS Girls played Jordan Road School at their field in Northfield winning 2-0, with D’Anna scoring both goals and Sydney Pearson earning an assist on a throw-in. The Varsity Girls faced Pilgrim Academy on their home field on Tuesday and won 3-0. Junior Abby Vogel scored 2 goals and sophomore Lola Oguntuase scored one, with three assists from senior Dakota Hitchner.  The Varsity Boys lost 8-0 to Pilgrim Academy.

Next Week’s Games:  Come out and cheer on our teams. On Tuesday, the MS Boys play away at Crest Memorial and on Thursday play at home against Bishop McHugh. On Friday, the MS Girls play away at Linwood. The Varsity teams play Gloucester County Christian School at home on Tuesday and on Friday the Varsity Boys play a non-league game at home against Holy Spirit. MS games start at 3:45 p.m. and Varsity games at 4:00 p.m.  The MS and Varsity game calendars can be found on the school’s website under the “Athletics” tab.
