ACS honored its six senior players on the Varsity Boys’ and Girls’ soccer teams and their parents in a special ceremony on Tuesday, October 25. The ceremony was held prior to the start of the home game against Calvary Christian. The Varsity Boys’ Coach Chris Eaton and the Varsity Girls’ Coach Carly Witherow recognized and thanked each of the players for their unique contributions to the team. The senior players were Justin Choi, Dakota Hitchner, Shannon Murphy, Tola Oguntuase, Carl Phillips, and Mike Zhu.
Also on hand to encourage the soccer team were members of the elementary intramural cheerleading squad that made its debut at the game. Members of the squad, who were coached by Mrs. Morgan Gibson, were Natalie Dickson, Autumn Henson (not pictured), Sydney Ryan, Isabella Santos, and Kalee Tardif. The squad performed cheers, chants, and pom-pom routines during the Varsity Boys’ game. Coach Gibson will be offering a new intramural cheerleading session for the basketball season.
