“Think like a scientist” — that’s the message that Middle School science teacher Mr. Jim Ennis emphasizes each day with his students. 7th grade science students had an opportunity to put that motto into practice this month as they created colorful, 3-D models of plant and animal cells for a class project. The models, many of them made out of styrofoam, are now on display in the hallway outside their first floor classroom. Students could choose to display a plant or animal cell and were also required to provide a written report with details about the structure and critical role of all the parts of their chosen cell. The students pictured with their models are: Elizabeth Alford, Gabrielle Gibbs, Faith Gracia, Joshua Guevara, George Harmon, Cole Lewis, Markus Lewis, Julianna Nardone, Amber Ramos, and Quinn Schrag.
