Major donations given to Atlantic Christian earlier this year made it possible to launch a new financial aid program that has provided $105,000 in tuition grants to students enrolled for the 2017-2018 school year. “We praise God for the significant donations that were given specifically to make it possible for families with financial need to have access to a quality Christian education for their children,” said Chief School Administrator Karen Oblen. “As we begin our 47th year with 481 students — the highest enrollment in ACS history — we know that this new tuition grant program played an important role in helping grow our school family.”

Oblen said this year’s tuition grants were made possible through designated gifts from the John F. Fuoco Testamentary Trust and the John C. Allen Charitable Trust. The needs-based program provided tuition discounts to 70 students from 55 new and returning families. “We are committed to offering tuition grants again next year and we will continue to reach out to additional donors to expand this program,” Oblen said. “Our goal is to be able to provide even more young people in our community with an educational program based on God’s truth and a Biblical worldview.” Please join us in praying that God will bless our efforts and bring additional gifts designated for our Tuition Assistance Grant program.

As we begin our 47th year in Christian education in September, I am pleased to share with you that God has continued to grow ACS for the fifth consecutive year, with close to 480 students now enrolled.  We have added a new PreK2 class and a 4th grade class and hired several new faculty members who are joining our highly qualified team of educators.

We are very grateful to the Trust and its Trustees for making a donation that has enabled economically disadvantaged families to have access to a Christian education for their children. Together, we are pressing on to invest in the lives of young people here in southern New Jersey. Our prayer is that the Word of God will be active and visible in everything we say and do and that our efforts will produce students who choose to follow God’s plan for their lives.
