On Thursday, October 26, the middle school students and their compass leaders piled into buses and cars to head to the Ocean City Tabernacle for the 2023 Spiritual Retreat Day. While on the retreat, students were challenged by Jesse Stokes during chapel sessions to be the light of Christ. Following the chapel sessions, students went to breakout groups with their compass leaders to further unpack Stokes’s message. Along with spending time learning and growing spiritually, students also spent time growing closer together with members of their compass groups through team building activities including building human pyramids and gargling tunes. The students returned refreshed and renewed, ready to face the school year.
