Atlantic Christian School is happy to announce the Annual re-naming of the road leading to the Early Education Complex — Hudson Way. This road was named thanks to the generosity of current family, the Dingmanns, who won this privilege at the Silent Auction during the 2024 Cougar Classic. They chose to honor their son, Hudson Dingmann, a current 7th grader, by naming the road after him.
Hudson is very involved at ACS including the Drama Club, the Student Ambassador program, and earned Highest Honors last year.
The opportunity to name this road will be available again in the Spring of 2025 at the Cougar Classic Silent Auction. It’s a wonderful chance to honor someone special while supporting the school’s mission.
Do you own a business or have connections to a business that would like to support Christian education and reach new customers? Our May 1 Legacy Gala — An Evening with Mandisa will include a large Silent Auction that provides a great showcase for local businesses to reach hundreds of new customers.
Everyone who attends the Gala, to be held at the Ocean City Tabernacle, will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious appetizers and bid on items in the Silent Auction during the Welcome Reception from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle’s Narthex. The Legacy Gala Program will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle’s large auditorium, which can seat over 900 people.
If you own a store-front or a home-based business and would like to donate to our Gala Silent Auction, please contact Mrs. PJ Santos at psantos@acseht.org. Examples of home-based businesses who have donated to past Silent Auctions include LuLaRoe, Pampered Chef, Rodan & Fields, Tastefully Simple, and Thirty-One Gifts.
Mrs. Santos is also seeking volunteers to help with calling or visiting local businesses to ask them to donate to the Silent Auction. “We want this year’s Silent Auction to be bigger and better than ever and we need your help,” Santos said. All donations are fully tax-deductible and will benefit our school’s educational programs.
To be included in a listing of Silent Auction donors in the Gala Program book, Silent Auction donations must be received by Friday, April 17.

Tickets to Ocean City’s Castaway Cove, Pampered Chef cookware, Thirty-One Gifts bags, gift cards to local restaurants, fitness equipment for your home gym, board games and snacks for family fun nights — these are just some of the great items that will be up for bid at Atlantic Christian School’s Bowls of Hope Silent Auction on Saturday night. Come out and find something special for you and your family and support ACS educational programs with your donation.
There will be 24 Gift Baskets in the Silent Auction. The baskets were created by our PreK4 to 8th grade classrooms and are filled to the brim with items donated by our school families. Thank you so much for your generosity.
There’s something for everyone in the Silent Auction. There’s a gift basket for crafters, baskets for newborn babies, a basket for book lovers and for those who have a green thumb. If you like chocolate or ice cream there are definitely baskets for you. The Silent Auction bidding will begin when the doors open at 6 p.m. for the Bowls of Hope. Bidding will end at 7:45 p.m.
Winning bidders will be able to pay by cash, check, or credit card. Charitable gift receipts will be mailed to winners after the event. There will be a charitable tax deduction for the amount of a winning purchase price that exceeds the fair market value of a gift basket.
Mark your calendar for the 7th ACS Bowls of Hope Soup Cook-Off Benefit to be held on Saturday, February 1, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the school gym. You won’t want to miss this enjoyable and entertaining evening of good food, fellowship, a student Talent Show, a Silent Auction, and a canned food drive — all to benefit ACS, the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Southern Branch.
The Bowls of Hope benefit and canned food drive will be spearheaded by our high school students, giving them an opportunity to support ACS and bless our local community by selling tickets to the event, volunteering during the Bowls of Hope, and encouraging family and friends to donate to the canned food drive. An email with information about the Bowls of Hope will be sent to the parents and guardians of high school students next week. Information about Silent Auction Classroom Baskets that our PreK4-8th grade classes will be creating for the Silent Auction will also be sent home next week.
The Bowls of Hope will feature some 20 area restaurants and chefs serving up their signature soups. For one ticket price, those attending will have the opportunity to sample the soups and vote for their favorite. The canned food drive will kick off next week and continue through the night of the Bowls of Hope to benefit the Community FoodBank.
Tickets and Event Sponsorships will be available for purchase starting on Friday, January 10, in the ACS school office, from any ACS high school student, or online. Tickets will also be sold at the door that night.
The Bowls of Hope Soup-Tasting Benefit on February 2 will include a Silent Auction and each classroom from PreK4 to the 8th grade is being asked to collect items for a gift basket that has a specific theme. Flyers were sent home this week asking families to donate an item fitting the theme for their class basket, such as “Super Bowl Party,” “Baker’s Delight,” “Family Game Night,” and more.
The collection deadline for all Silent Auction baskets is Friday, January 25. Parents who are interested in donating a basket or item from their home consulting businesses (such as Avon, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, etc.) should contact Event Coordinator Jessica Martin at 609-653-1199, ext. 314 or jmartin@acseht.org. We are happy to take those donations along with some of your business literature to have available at the Silent Auction.
