ACS students in grades 6-12 and in the Early Education program shared the joy of the good news of Christ’s birth through vocal, instrumental, and drama presentations at their Christmas concerts this week. The Middle School/High School concert on December 6 featured performances by the combined bands and chorales. Students in the after-school Drama Club also presented a skit. The combined chorales performed uplifting, worshipful songs from the Christmas Cantata “Light: Out of the Darkness” that featured Eniel Hernandez and Dakota Hitchner as narrators. A number of students also had solos — Naomi Glancey, Ashleigh Martin, Sydney Pearson, and Jason Herrera, who received warm applause from the audience as he closed the concert with a joyous rendition of “This Little Light of Mine.”

The Early Education students merrily sang, danced, and recited scripture at their Christmas concert the morning of Friday, December 9. The PreK1 students set the joyous mood as they opened the concert shaking sleigh bell bracelets and singing "Come on Ring Those Bells." The concert closed with all the Early Ed classes singing together "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

Thank you to faculty members Dawn Bird, Teresa Bird, Kelly Brown, Karissa Costello, Karan Erlandson, Robin Genter, Brian McSee, Shirlene Perini, and Stephanie Rosie for their hard work in preparing the students for these concerts. Also -- please mark your calendar to attend our final Christmas concert to be presented by the ACS Elementary students on Friday, December 16 at 6:30 p.m.
