Today we welcomed GPS New Jersey - Global Premiere Soccer - for the first day of its one-week summer soccer camp under beautiful, blue skies. This is our 4th year as the host site for this top-notch soccer skills training camp. Glad to see close to 100 boys and girls from age 8 to 15 spread out across our 37-acre campus and using both soccer fields for their drills. Have a great week and we look forward to working with GPS in the fall and spring of next year when they will once again offer an after-school soccer program to ACS students in grades PreK to 5th grade. ... We join ACS family members and friends in congratulating our students for their hard work and accomplishments over the past school year. Wednesday night we proudly promoted 22 students in our 8th grade class, who will be moving on to high school in the fall. This morning, our elementary students took to the stage to receive honors for high marks in academic subjects, as well as in physical fitness, Christian conduct, and citizenship. We also took time during the programs to say thank-you and farewell, to two teachers -- Middle School Science teacher Jim Ennis and 3rd grade teacher Simone McKinnon -- and PreK4 teacher Dawn Bird and her children Micah, Justus, Cami, and Cori, who are leaving to serve in the mission field in Haiti. We will be praying for our school family over the summer. God be with you and bless you. ... See MoreSee Less

Celebrated today with parents and families at our Preschool and Kindergarten Promotion Ceremonies. There were lots of hugs and a few tears to go around as teachers presented diplomas to the PreK4 and Kindergarten students. The children danced and sang songs, recited Bible verses, and the kindergarten students played handbells to the "Battle Hymn of the Republic." Kindergarten students also received special awards for achievement in science, math, language, penmanship, Bible, and Christian character. May God bless all of our students and their families and we pray you have a happy and healthy summer! ... See MoreSee Less
