Dear Atlantic Christian School Parents, Faculty, and Staff,

As we approach the end of the 2024 school year, we are excited to share some important administrative changes that will take effect beginning in July. These changes are designed to strengthen our leadership team and enhance the educational experience for our students.

First, we are pleased to announce that Mrs. Gail Alford, who has dedicated eight years of exemplary service as the Elementary Principal, and twelve years of elementary and middle school teaching experience, will be transitioning to the role of Upper School Principal. In her new position, Mrs. Alford will oversee grades 6-12. Her extensive experience, dedication, and passion for student development will be invaluable in guiding our Upper School students through these critical years.

Secondly, we are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Bethany Kiefer, who has served as our Instructional Specialist, and has also taught 5th grade at Atlantic Christian School for several years, will be moving to the position of Elementary Principal. Mrs. Kiefer’s experience and dedication to instructional excellence will be instrumental in continuing the strong academic and character development programs at the elementary level.

Additionally, we are delighted to inform you that Mr. Christian Delacruz will assume the position of Dean of Students. Mr. Delacruz has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to our school’s values. As Dean of Students, he will play a pivotal role in supporting student discipline, academic performance, and overall spiritual well-being.

We believe these changes will greatly benefit our school community, providing strong and consistent leadership across all grade levels. Mrs. Alford, Mr. Delacruz, and Mrs. Kiefer are all dedicated to maintaining the high standards of education and character development that Atlantic Christian School is known for.

As we move forward, we trust in the Lord’s guidance and wisdom in these placements. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” We are confident that these changes are in alignment with God’s plan for our school.

We appreciate your continued support and partnership as we embark on these new chapters in our administrative structure. Should you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for being an integral part of the Atlantic Christian School family. We look forward to another year of growth, learning, and success.

Blessings,

Karen M. Oblen, Chief School Administrator
