On December 12th, the K-3 students captivated the audience with their performance of Follow the Star, a mini musical centered on a choir’s rehearsal for a church Christmas program. The show intertwined the story of the choir’s preparation with the timeless narrative of the Nativity, bringing the Christmas story to life through song.
Third graders Shiloh Samuels and Lily Henigan were “the director and assistant director” of the show and shared their reflections on the meaning of the season with help from choir members and a main cast of 13 third graders. The K-3 students did a wonderful job singing their songs incorporating hand motions, bells and expressive storytelling. This program was a wonderful celebration of Christmas and its true meaning.
