ACS students learned about the meaning of Memorial Day this week in various ways. The kindergarten classes made paper flags and the children in PreK3B and PreK4A created red, white, and blue thank-you posters to present to school parent and Airman First Class John Raebig during his visit to their classes. Students in the 6th-12th grade chapel Friday were asked to stand if they had a family member who had died while in active duty in the military. High school history teacher Gregg Laskow then offered a prayer in gratitude for the sacrifices of so many Americans who have died in defense of our country’s freedoms.
