Mrs. Hoover’s 4th grade class recently concluded a month-long study of matter with a science project that required building a 3-D atomic model and creating an accompanying poster. All the class projects and posters are now on display in the hallway outside their classroom.  The students also gave presentations about their element in class, including five fun facts, a brief history of the discovery of the element, and at least two ways the element is used today. Mrs. Hoover’s said one of the more creative presentations was done by Noah Engle on the element aluminum, who had a classmate stand on a soda can to demonstrate its strength, then showed that a light tap of a hammer upon it would dent it.
