ACS was blessed by a special visit from the United States Coast Guard. During both high school and middle school lunches, Commander Norris, Chief Petty Officer Patch, and Chief Petty Officer Ductan spoke individually to students who had questions regarding a career in the Coast Guard.
Later, they gave a detailed presentation to the Juniors and Seniors about the different jobs in the Coast Guard, including aviation, engineering, mechanics, research and law enforcement. They spoke of the benefits of a military career, how to pursue a career as an officer or enlisted, and what a career in the Coast Guard entails.
