With Earth Day falling during spring break this year (April 22), ACS teachers and Garden Club advisors Bethany Kiefer and Eric Tardif got an early start celebrating God’s creation and making a positive impact on the environment. Elementary classes were invited to visit the new ACS Greenhouse and plant seeds that will later be transplanted into the raised garden beds for the summer. Students from kindergarten through 5th grade planted beans, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and sunflowers and will take turns watering them in the greenhouse and garden. A plant sale is anticipated in the coming weeks as the produce begins to grow.
