ACS gave a warm welcome to 44 students from the 1st to 12th grades who visited the school on Tuesday, November 8 as part of “Friend Day.” A number of area schools were closed on Tuesday, making it an ideal day for ACS students to invite their friends to visit ACS. The visiting students shadowed their friends in a variety of classes and activities, including playing addition bingo in Mrs. Williams’ second grade class, running on the track during PE, learning how to draw flag images in the computer lab, and enjoying lunch together. Friend Day is organized by the Admissions Department and seeks to give students interested in attending ACS an opportunity to experience first-hand a day in the life of an ACS student.
